Harrison began his professional career in real estate and construction in 1989. He joined the real estate investments department of MetLife in Charlotte (NC) in 1991 as an asset manger and eventually moved to New York City to serve in several positions supporting MetLife’s senior management. In 1998, Harrison moved to Charleston, SC, to pursue his interest in multi-family development and construction. He spent the next 12 years acquiring, renovating and building multi-family properties in North and South Carolina. He was involved in acquiring and developing over 1,000 units and consulted with various companies on development, design and zoning for several large developments on the Charleston Peninsula.
In 2010, Harrison founded Core Specialty Contractors, LLC, a commercial subcontracting firm specializing in the installation of doors, hardware and building specialties. He successfully completed installations for companies such as Whiting-Turner, Trident Construction, Holder Construction, and the BE&K/Turner JV, which was responsible for the construction of Boeing’s initial buildings in North Charleston (SC). During this time, Harrison met Ryan Martin who shared his focus on quality and service, which led to the creation of Martin + Murray Installation in 2013. Ryan moved to Nashville (TN) in 2018 for family reasons and later decided to pursue other interests. Harrison became the sole owner of the company in January 2021.
Harrison earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his MBA from Rutgers University.
