RYAN MARTIN, Partner

Ryan Martin is a results-oriented construction professional who is responsible for overseeing MMI Field Operations.  His extensive knowledge of the construction industry and specialty installations is a key factor in helping him successfully oversee numerous projects while managing our team of installation professionals wherever the job takes us.  His experience and performance are key factors to building our reputation for high quality work and timely completion, which is reflected by a growing list of repeat clients.

Ryan is a veteran of both the United States Marine Corp and U.S. Air Force.  With the Marines, Ryan visited 28 countries and saw combat duty in Afghanistan.  While serving with the Air Force, Ryan was a civil engineer tasked with building airports in Iraq to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He attended the USAF Military Leadership Program where he focused on professional management techniques and construction technology.  He has also completed additional classes in business administration with Strayer University.

Following his honorable discharge from the armed forces, Ryan returned stateside to embark on a career in the door and hardware business.  Before starting Caliber Installation, LLC, in 2011, he served as the production manager for with a local custom door and cabinet manufacturer and as the lead installer for a Charleston-based door/hardware installation company.  He has maintained exceptional safety programs as he has overseen the installation of commercial doors, hardware, bathroom partitions and accessories.  He is known to have precision woodworking and metalworking skills, is resourceful and capable of resolving the most puzzling construction situations.  He wants MMI to earn your repeat and referral business.

 

HARRISON MURRAY, Partner

Providing comprehensive leadership and management across all levels of the business, Harrison Murray coordinates client and business development, as well as the financial operations of the company. With 25 years of experience in development, real estate, and construction, Harrison possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of the industry and focuses on client satisfaction, ensuring both our repeat and referral business continues to grow.  Our clients can be confident that we are focused on their business, and that their installations are in the hands of a great team who wants to help them finish the job with the highest quality work in a timely manner.

Harrison began his professional career in real estate and construction in 1989.  He joined the real estate investments of MetLife in Charlotte (NC) in 1991 as an asset manger and eventually moved to New York City to serve in several positions supporting MetLife’s senior management.  In 1998, Harrison moved to Charleston, SC, to pursue his interest in multi-family development and construction.  He spent the next 12 years acquiring, renovating and building multi-family properties in North and South Carolina.  He was involved in acquiring and developing over 1,000 units and consulted with various companies on development, design and zoning for several large developments on the Charleston Peninsula.

In 2010, Harrison founded Core Specialty Contractors, LLC, a commercial subcontracting firm specializing in the installation of doors, hardware and building specialties.  He successfully completed installations for companies such as Whiting-Turner, Trident Construction, Holder Construction, and the BE&K/Turner JV, which was responsible for the construction of Boeing’s initial buildings in North Charleston (SC).  During this time, Harrison met Ryan Martin who shared his focus on quality and service, which led to the creation of Martin + Murray Installation in 2013.

Harrison earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College and his MBA from Rutgers University.
